The Knocks and Dragonette have worked together on a catchy new song called “Dreams,” which will be part of their upcoming album, Revelation. The single is getting fans excited with its throwback to the 1980s business scene through the made-up company Revelation Technologies. The music video humorously exaggerates office life and features RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Aquaria as a captivating lead character, mixing marketing themes with artistic flair in an entertaining way.

The song “Dreams” by The Knocks and Dragonette mixes electronic pop with dance beats, which both groups are known for. Martina Sorbara from Dragonette tells a story about the strange yet personal experience of having a sex dream. She captures an innocent dream-like feeling while keeping it suitable for all audiences, reflecting how these dreams happen in our subconscious minds. Sorbara explains that dreams can be wild adventures and when you have an intimate moment with someone in them, it feels very personal because your mind wasn’t actually there… That’s why she believes a song about such dreams should mostly feel appropriate for everyone.

The music video for “Dreams” matches the song’s mix of sounds with a colorful display set in Revelation Technologies’ satirical world. In it, executives promote magical pills in an exaggerated way, using corporate jargon as a metaphor to show how personal dreams are being turned into products—a critique on today’s consumer culture.

The Knocks and Dragonette are planning live shows for their album promotion, including a performance at the OUTLOUD Music Festival during WeHo Pride. Fans are excited about their new album Revelation, which will be released on June 6th through Neon Gold Records / Futures / Virgin.

The Knocks, duo with James Patterson and Ben Ruttner, play many types of music, like disco and hip hop. They bring the lively spirit of New York to their song “Dreams.” Known for exciting live performances, they have worked smoothly with artists such as MGMT, SOFI TUKKER and Charli XCX. “Dragonette,” featuring Martina Sorbara’s strong electro-pop style, adds her unique touch to the track. Throughout her career, she has created international hits and teamed up with famous DJs like Galantis and Martin Solveig, boosting her reputation in music.
