50 Cent Says Jeremih Is “Responsive,” “Doing a Little Better” Following Reports Singer Was in ICU on Ventilator Due to COVID-19

R&B artist Jeremih was recently hospitalized in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to complications caused by COVID-19, however fellow rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent has provided positive update to his recovery. According to 50 Cent, Jeremih is “responsive” and “doing a little better,” following the hospitalization reports.

“Thank you for my boy Jeremih he is responsive today, doing a little better,” 50 Cent wrote in a tweet.

50 Cent was one of the first people to break the news regarding Jeremih’s hospitalization a couple of days ago, stating in a tweet “Pray for my boy Jeremih he’s not doing good this covid shit is real.” A few other prominent artists in the hip hop world such as Chance The Rapper and Hitmaka sent Jeremih their wishes as well.

Jeremih is just one of multiple performers who have reportedly contracted the illness this year, with Sturgill SimpsonDamian KoulashMadonnaMarianne FaithfullWreckless EricWill CarrolJohn Taylor and Christopher Cross stating they tested positive for COVID-19. Several other musicians such as Tommy DeVito, Rev. John Wilkins, Wallace Roney and folk icon John Prine have passed away from complications caused by COVID-19.

Jeremih is best known for a slew of hits in the 2010s such as “Birthday Sex,” “Down on Me” and “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” which all were top ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100. He has released three studio albums on his own since 2009 and one collaborative record as MihTy, his duo with Ty Dolla $ign, who released their debut album in 2018.
