The Foo Fighters released their pop-oriented LP Medicine at Midnight this year, and they now announced a summer 2022 North American tour to bring the album and more to fans nationwide. The tour kicks off on May 14 in Burgettstown, PA, and ends on Aug. 20 in LA. Throughout the summer performances, the band will visit over 15 cities, including Raleigh, Charlotte, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Denver and more. Tickets for the concerts go on sale this Friday, Dec, 3, at 10 AM local time.
The tour not only celebrates the new music they’ve released (and the hilarious music videos that have come with it) but their recent induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. At the induction ceremony at the end of October, frontman Dave Grohl performed The Beatles’ “Get Back” with Paul McCartney himself. Grohl has been busy this year with the release of his memoir The Storyteller and issues regarding the lawsuit against Nirvana’s Nevermind album cover. The guitarist also recently started his series of covers by Jewish artists for Hannukah, sharing his version of “Stay (I Missed You)” by Lisa Loeb.
The band will continue to stay busy throughout 2022, as they are part of the lineup for the Welcome to Rockville festival as well as Lollapalooza Brazil and Argentina. Since these shows are in the spring, they will be performing both internationally and across the U.S. in a matter of a few months.
