I know that you’ll most likely attend all of the Burger Records parties, but if you only make room for one make sure it’s the set at Hotel Vegas. Emitt Rhodes, formerly of The Mary-Go-Rounds, will be putting on his first full performance since 1971.
Emitt’s first contract with Dunhill recordings had a tight timeline for him to produce 4 new albums with 6 months allotted to write and record each. It became a legal battle that caused a lot of distrust of the music industry for Emitt. He bought a house across from his parents and has been in his own studio since his last album Farewell to Paradise (1973). Recently, Emitt has released a new song entitled “Dog on Chain” which will be the single on “Rainbow Ends.”
Emitt has been hard at work on his new album, “Rainbow Ends,” which will be released on February 26, 2016 through Omnivore Recordings. This is the first album of his in 43 years and this time not produced in his parents garage but by fellow musician Chris Price. Emitt is one amazing songwriter and should not be skipped!
