Legendary American rapper Dr. Dre has officially released six new exclusive tracks on streaming services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal. Previously, the songs were only available to players of the popular video game series GTA Online: The Contract. The game marked the return of fan-favorite character Franklin Clinton.
Each of the tracks are star-studded, featuring guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Ty Dolla $ign, Busta Rhymes, Anderson .Paak, Thurz, Cocoa Sarai, Rick Ross and Eminem. The singles are entitled “The Scenic Route,” “Gospel,” “Fallin Up,” “ETA,” “Diamond Mind” and “Black Privilege.” Last December, Grand Theft Auto also released a “Dre Day” update coupled with the release of a new radio station inspired by Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Eminem will be collaborating together once again for the Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige. The announcement was followed by an entertaining promotional video. Dr. Dre also took part in the crafting of Donda, Kanye “Ye” West’s much anticipated album. He was featured on the song “Glory.”
The award-winning record producer had quite an eventful year in 2021. In early January, he was hospitalized in the ICU following brain aneurysm. In mid-January he was finally able to safely return home. In October, he was scheduled to speak on behalf of LL Cool J at the annual 2021 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony. His ex-wife Nicole Young reportedly had divorce papers sent to him during his grandmother’s funeral. Young was later awarded $100 million in the divorce settlement.
