Beach Bunny’s new song, “Big Pink Bubble,” is highlight from their upcoming album Tunnel Vision, which comes out on April 25 through AWAL. The track features the band’s well-known style with energetic guitar riffs and clear rhythms that blend perfectly with Lili Trifilio’s melodic writing. In “Big Pink Bubble,” Trifilio explores themes of protecting oneself and feeling isolated as she tries to maintain her mental peace in a chaotic world.

The release comes with an eye-catching music video directed by Trifilio. It includes symbolic references to famous films, featuring bright colors like those in “Pleasantville” and a pastel version of the Red Room from “Twin Peaks.” These elements create a captivating setting that adds to the song’s emotional impact.

In Tunnel Vision, Beach Bunny explores deep emotions with heartfelt lyrics and lively singing. The band goes back to their guitar-focused style, aiming for a fresh take on power pop music. This album comes after successful singles like the energetic anthem “Tunnel Vision,” the catchy “Vertigo,” and the delightful “Clueless.”

The band recorded Tunnel Vision with producer Sean O’Keefe, who has worked with Fall Out Boy and Motion City Soundtrack. The album marks comeback for the group, featuring lively guitar sounds while still growing musically. During the pandemic, Trifilio faced writer’s block but got past it by reflecting on her own life challenges and those of her friends as young adults.

Since Emotional Creature came out, Beach Bunny’s popularity has skyrocketed. They’ve earned Platinum awards for their songs “Prom Queen” and “Cloud 9,” and Gold award for “Sports.” They’ve also been streamed over one billion times on Spotify. The band is known for exciting live shows, including tours with Melanie Martinez and organizing an annual music festival in Chicago called Pool Party, led by Trifilio herself.
