Some of the biggest names of pop-punk will be featured at the upcoming Innings Festival in Tampa, FL. The festival will be held from March 19-20, 2022, at Raymond James Stadium Grounds.
The “Ultimate East Coast Spring Training Celebration,” as the festival is described, will kick off with performances by Green Day, Incubus, 311, Jimmy Eat World, Wolf Alice and more. Earlier this year, Green Day co-headlined the Hella Mega Tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer, bringing some of the most well-known emo bands of the 2000s on one stage. Wolf Alice is set to release a series of recordings titled The Pool Sessions, which will feature a recent cover of Alex G’s “Bobby.” Jimmy Eat World was featured at Chain Fest in October alongside Taking Back Sunday and Circa Survive.
On Sunday, March 20, The Lumineers, Khruangbin, the Goo Goo Dolls and O.A.R will take the stage. At the end of September, The Lumineers shared a music video for “Brightside,” the title track from their upcoming album, which is set for release in Jan. 2022. The Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris” has always been a fan favorite, with artists such as Sleeping with Sirens and Phoebe Bridgers releasing popular covers of the track.
Some Major League Baseball legends will also make appearances at the festival, including Ozzie Smith, Gary Sheffield, John Kruk, Lou Piniella, A.J. Pierzynski and more. According to a press release, there will also be a live taping of “Off The Mound with Ryan Dempster” and family-friendly activities. Festival tickets go on sale on Friday, Nov. 5.
