Girlschool’s Field Day Weekend has announced a second round addition to its already star studded lineup that will feature more than 18 bands and DJ sets taking place on January 29 through January 31 at the Bootleg Theatre. The newly-announced artists for the benefit show include Nina and Louise from Veruca Salt, Allison Weiss, Chloe from Kitten, Lael Neale and V.A.J.J. Proceeds from this event will benefit Rock’n’Roll Camp for Girls LA, a non-profit that helps young girls through music education.
The event is presented by KROQ, Kate Nash’s Girl Gang, Origami Vinyl, and L.A. Record and is the first 100 percent female-fronted festival to take over the entire Bootleg Theatre. It will also feature a panel discussion by female industry leaders Alicen Schneider (NBC), Mollie Lehman (Atlantic Records), Melissa Woods (Zync), Jacki Nalpant (Paradigm), and Elizabeth Cline (The Industry), moderated by Eve Barlow of NME, Guardian, Vice, and Spin.
Other announced artists to appear include Alina Bea, The Bulls, Conway, Dead Sara, Gothic Tropic, Kat Corbett (DJ set), Kate Nash (DJ set), Kera and the Lesbians, Kim & The Created, Kitten (DJ Set), Maria Taylor, Miya Folick, Nightjacket, Phoebe Bridgers, Riothorse Royale, Steady Holiday, and White Sea.
Come enjoy three days of awesome bands and help out a good cause too!
