Aesop Rock Shares New Song “Call Home”

Aesop Rock, well-known independent hip-hop artist, has released a new song called “Call Home.” The song comes with an eye-catching animated video made by Justin “Coro” Kaufman, who often works with Rock. This track is from his latest album named I Heard It’s a Mess There Too, which came out this October through Rhymesayers Entertainment. In this album, Rock explores simpler music styles different from his usual complex sounds. He produced the tracks himself and used open arrangements to express feelings about uncertainty and connection in today’s chaotic world.

The song “Call Home” captures the main theme and gives listeners a taste of the artist’s changing style. It features clear percussion, deep bass lines, and Rock’s well-known lyrical skill as he explores modern communication and relationships with his audience. The album created buzz when some fans received secret test pressings, causing lots of online guessing. When the full album came out soon after, it was praised for showing Rock’s talent to surprise and bringing new ideas to his music style.

Before I Heard It’s a Mess There Too, there was Black Hole Superette. This earlier work involved more collaboration and complexity, unlike the latest album which is introspective. These two releases show Rock’s current creative exploration: one side working with others on complex projects, and the other reflecting inwardly in simpler ways. Fans can now listen to I Heard It’s Mess There Too on all major streaming platforms. People are eagerly waiting for the retail release on December 12, which will include physical copies and special merchandise that can be bought from Rock’s official website.
