Jason Isbell has shared a new single, “Foxes In The Snow.” This single is the title track in his upcoming solo acoustic record, Foxes In The Snow. Foxes In The Snow is set to release March 7th, 2025. Isbell is starting his U.S. Tour will kick off on February 15th in Chicago.
The press release describes the new album, “Recorded entirely on the same all-mahogany 1940 Martin 0-17 acoustic guitar, and in the span of just five days, the album captures an artist at the peak of their powers; the virtuosic guitar playing and commanding vocal delivery on this collection is some of the most impressive of an already remarkable recording career. Isbell is one of the most highly lauded songwriters of his generation, and this stripped back, bare-bones format puts his immense talent for evocative storytelling and the complete mastery of his craft on full display.” This descriptive description of the album has fans excited about what Isbell has created.
The song has a playful tune and mixes in with Isbell’s masculine vocals beautifully. The song seems to be an ode to his partner as he describes what he loves about her. Isbell mentions the title saying, “And I love her friends, the ones I know/ They leave drops of blood like foxes in the snow.”
