According to blabbermouth.net, Dream Theater has announced they will be releasing their sixteenth studio album, Parasomnia, on February 7, through InsideOut Music. The LP marks the band’s first release with drummer Mike Portnoy since 2009’s Black Clouds & Silver Linings. The news on the upcoming album comes on the heels of the recent announcement of a tour, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the band.

Also, Dream Theater has shared the music video for “Night Terror” and as a whole, everything is fabulous by how each scene shows the band performing the song inside a gloomy and dark atmosphere, while the music and vocal performances shake the background with a face-smacking rock and metal vibe.

Parasomnia takes the listeners on a musical journey that has become synonymous with the band since the beginning of their career. The album’s title is a term for disruptive, sleep-related disturbances including sleepwalking, sleep paralysis and night terrors.
