According to consequence.net rock band King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard announced their new album is titled PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation. Although the name of the album has been released, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard have not mentioned when they will release the album but pre-orders will be open on May 16.
The Australian band revealed the project through their socials without release date, track list or a single. Instead the band used the painting by longtime collaborator Jason Galea which serves as the album’s cover artwork.

The recent Instagram post follows King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard ‘s Twitter post back in April where the band described their latest project as “The next gizz album is heavy as fck.”
PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation follows King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard‘s albums Changes, Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava and Laminated Denim.
