English pop rock band The 1975 have officially announced the release of their new album Being Funny In A Foreign Language after teasing the record bit by bit over the past few weeks. According to Stereogum, the record will be released on October 14 via Dirty Hit and will feature 11 tracks one of which is “Part of the Band” which debuted today.

On June 1, cryptic posters began appearing throughout London with the date July 7, foreshadowing the release of the band’s first new music since the release of 2020’s Notes on Conditional Form, their latest album. In late June, the band teased the album title and lyrics for “Part of the Band.” Just days ago, frontman Matt Healy rejoined Reddit and shared new details about the album.

“Part of the Band” features Japanese Breakfast’s Michele Zauner as well as production from Jack Antonoff, Healy and drummer George Daniel. The song is accompanied by a black-and-white music video that is equally intricate and amusing.
