Just a few days before the release of The Bronx’ newest record, Bronx VI, the band shared their music video for “Peace Pipe.” The band previously released quite few songs to tease their newest full-length record. “Peace Pipe” follows the release of “Mexican Summer,” “Curb Feelers,” “White Shadow,” “Superbloom” and “Watering The Well.”
Like the title of the album gives away, it will be the band’s sixth release since the band formed in 2002. Under their alter ego, Mariachi El Bronx, the band released another three albums that are heavily inspired by traditiomal mexican mariachi music.
The video for “Peace Pipe” was directed by Craig R. Stecyk, who heavily influenced the skateboard, surfing and snowboarding community with his documentaries surrounding their culture. The band also released a limited edition Th Bronx X Craig Stecyk skateboard deck. “Working with Craig Stecyk on the ‘Peace Pipe’ video was the first fit and a dream come true,” says frontman Matt Caughthran. “The feel of the song matches Craig’s aesthetic perfectly and honestly just being around him is very inspiring. His style and vision will always be completely original and unique. They just don’t make ‘em like CRS anymore!”

“Peace Pipe” is a fun punk song with a few pop-punk elements. It’s a fesh sound and a good track to sing along to while on a road trip. Being from California, the band channeled the typical west coast feeling throughout the track, it’s not always easy in the golden state but there is always something inspiring about it. The video very much reflects this attitude. It has the warmth of the state but also shows the unnoticed conors of the state. It features a lot of art that can be associated with the surfing culture of the west coast.
