Lucinda Williams will be joining Jason Isbell and the 400 Units next summer in 2021. The tour dates will take place from mid-July through mid-August, 2021. The shows will trail down the West Coast before stopping through Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas and Arkansas, then ends with three shows in Texas.

“Who’s ready?” Lucinda Williams said in a tweet, including the tour dates with the post.
Both alt-country singers released albums last month, as Isbell and the 400 Units’ Reunions and Williams’ Good Souls Better Angels. Isbell performed the release of his LP at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl, the event streamed online while the venue itself was empty.
Both performers had to cancel recent shows due to COVID-19 concerns, including Williams’ show with Willie Nelson at his Luck Reunion music festival that was supposed to take place last March. Isbell and the 400 Units currently have several dates booked for shows in 2020, but the dates may be affected due to the current pandemic.
Isbell joined Brandi Carlile, Nathalie Hemby and Sheryl Crow at the To Nashville, With Love about a week before the entire country went on lockdown. This Thursday, Isbell will be performing an online tribute to John Prine alongside Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile and Bill Murray. Prine died earlier this year due to complications from COVID-19.
