Donald Trump Reacts on Twitter to Snoop Dogg’s Music Video for “Lavender”

For those who haven’t heard, President Donald Trump orders his steaks extra well-done, with a side of ketchup.

Oh…and…yeah…the president also really doesn’t like when the former LA gang-member Snoop Dogg romanticizes killing the GOP in the, transformed + legendary, rapper’s new music video for the single “Lavender”. The new track acts as a remix of BadBadNotGood and Kaytranada’s original song.

Snoop Dogg with the help of YouTube sensation Jesse Wellens of PrankVSPrank, and James Defina conceived the idea for the eery Lavender video, in light of — the then recent election + proposed legislation from the president-elect, with additional dark inquiries inspired by police brutality. Snoop references last July’s fatal shooting of Philandro Castille in Philadelphia as the primary source for that thematic undertow of the video.

The hip-hop mogul is clearly vexed.

But, on the other hand, Trump’s discontent is sort of understandable: no one wants to watch his/her’s own gruesome demise played out on film, to then have said footage circulated around the world: opening up a whole bunch of scary ideas for scary people to enterprise on. I get it. BUT, D.T.: its a confetti gun, and a clown mask…we might as well be at 7 year-olds birthday party playing pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. Okay, okay, so the clown-age does tend more towards Batman’s The Joker, rather than Modern Family’s Cam and his clumsy troupe of clowns…on the universal scale of one to creepy-clown-phobia.

But, what Rolling Stone Magazine confides in it’s readers earlier today is— really, at the crux of  all of this needless drama— doesn’t the Trump-meister have bigger things to get his undies all bundled up in a knot about? Like you know, trying to salvage the crumbling foundations holding up this country?

“Lashing out” at an artist, most notably praised for “sippin’ on gin and juice” and baking with Martha Stewart, over social media seems a bit trivial. But, hey, computer screens create excellent platforms for those to let it all out on; and, in turn, Snoop got his intended reaction from “the man”.
