According to consequence.net, rock band Car Seat Headrest have announced that their new live album Faces from the Masquerade will be released on December 8. Also Car Seat Headrest have shared a live video of their Twin Fantasy song “Bodys.”
The 14 track double album compiles recordings from the band’s three night stand at Brooklyn Steel in 2022. The album’s name draws on two relevant aspects of the residency: Will Toledo and company asked attendees to wear mask in light of the COVID-19 pandemic but Car Seat Headrest also encouraged fans to have fun like Toledo singer did in his go to hazmat suit and gas mask.
This project shows the band performing long and newly arranged versions of their songs including transforming the smash hit “Drunk Drivers/Killer Whales” into a free-wheeling, nearly unrecognizable number when performing on network television.
As a whole, the music video of “Bodys” is fantastic by how each scene shows Car Seat Headrest performing live back in 2022 and the music is stunning by how the instrumentation sizzles the air with heart stopping sounds while the vocal performance serenades the ears with powerful vocal tones.
