Blue Medusa, the latest band formed by former Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, have shared their third single yesterday. The song, titled “Crocodile,” came with a video which was made in collaboration with Vincente Cordero of Industrialism Films, as Blabbermouth reports. The video can be found on the group’s YouTube channel.

The video opens with a shot of White-Gluz submerged underwater in what appears to be the remains of a bedroom. Though difficult to understand due to vocal filters, she speaks poetically about the titular crocodile. The video is uniquely split into chapters, with this opening section titled “Every golden scale” and a total of 8 chapters, some being named after lines from the opening monologue (and others highlighting notable solo “shreds” by guitarists Alyssa Day and Dani Sophia). After the intro, White-Gluz lets out a metal scream on top of explosive riffs kicking the song off properly.

“‘Crocodile’ is about that feeling that you’re being watched… that instinctive dread when you know something dangerous is nearby, even though you can’t see it,” White-Gluz said about the song. “It’s the feeling that something is lurking just beneath the surface of what appears to be safe or familiar. That tension between what you perceive and what you sense; that is where the song lives.”

Blue Medusa is booked for a handful of tour dates across the Fall of 2026 and the Summer of 2027. As well, White-Gluz herself will be busy touring alongside Dragonforce for their Inhuman Rampage anniversary tour.
