The VMAs Announce A Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Nuno Bettencourt and Yungblud

The VMAs have announced a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Nuno Bettencourt and Yungblud. This weekend, the MTV Video Music Awards will gather several musicians for a performance honoring the late Ozzy Osbourne. The show will take place Sunday September 7th at 8 p.m. 

According to a press release, the aforementioned musicians will be “coming together for a once-in-a-lifetime performance honoring the legendary ‘Prince of Darkness’ and metal luminary with a medley of his greatest hits”, according to Consequence. The metal icon had long history with MTV, including the groundbreaking reality series The Osbournes. Since the musician’s death, several high profile artists have performed tributes in his honor. 

The VMAs will air live this Sunday, on September 7th. It will be streaming on CBS and MTV at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, or 5 p.m. Pacific Time, from New York’s UBS Arena. American rapper LL Cool J will host the annual ceremony, which will also feature performances by stars such as Sabrina Carpenter, Jelly Roll, Post Malone and more, as well as honor Mariah Carey with the Video Vanguard award. LL Cool J will always be performing on September 19th at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, along with others such as Mariah Carey, Maroon five, Lil Wayne and much more.
