Back in August, Rolling Loud Miami’s lineup was announced with the set dates of December 13, 14 & 15. Given that this year marks the event’s ten-year anniversary, the organizers wrangled an impressive selection of A-list rappers and hip-hop musicians, including Metro Boomin, Sexyy Red and Denzel Curry, among many others. Each day of the event is slated to have a special headlining act, which were announced to be Future on the 13th, Travis Scott on the 14th and Playboi Carti rounding out the festival on Sunday the 15th.
Although Playboi Carti is undeniably a high-profile catch on the organizers’ part, one that will be sure to draw in many prospective festival goers, there might still be some that choose to opt out of buying tickets for the third day of the event for the sake of frugalness or just beating the traffic. For these people, Playboi Carti has revealed an enticing twist to his performance that will perk up the ears of any fan of his. According to Pitchfork, after years of speculation and anticipation, Carti’s third studio album, I Am Music, will be showcased onstage in an exclusive world premiere.
Outside of his collaboration with The Weeknd, Carti’s latest single, “All Red,” was the first (and so far only) taste we got of what I Am Music has in store. The album doesn’t have a set release date either, so this performance at Rolling Loud Miami might be the only chance fans will have to listen to its tracks for the foreseeable future. Hopefully, this performance will prelude an official release date, but if not, that will make his appearance at Rolling Loud all the more special.
