Queens of the Stone Age have cancelled several dates on their The End Is Nero world tour. This cancellation is due to the fact that frontman Josh Homme needs to return to the United States for an emergency surgery.

According to consequence.net, the band shared a statement on the cancellation on Tuesday. They write, “Every effort was made to push through and play for you, but it is no longer an option to continue”.

The cancelled dates include headlining dates and festival performances alike for the remainder of July. This includes dates in France, Germany, Austria, Romania, Greece, Hungary, and the Czech Rebublic.

The End Is Nero tour will resume in August, where the band will be wrapping up their European tour dates before returning to the United States in the fall. These cancellations will not affect the band’s plans to become the first band to play in the Catacombs of Paris. The tour is supporting their most recent albumIn Times New Roman…
