Porno For Pyros announced the Horns, Thorns En Halos Farewell Tour set for 2024. The final farewell tour includes a stop at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theater on Sunday, February 18.
The band officially announced the tour via social media with the caption: “At long last, the final farewell 🖤 It will be a blaze of glory, one magnificent ball of fire. This is the final chapter for all the weirdos and unsung heroes. We can’t wait to share these final performances with you. Let’s give it everything we’ve got!” The tour is set to kick off on February 13 in Santa Ana, CA and conclude on March 10 in Montclair, NJ. The 16-date run includes stops in cities such as Denver, San Diego, Chicago, New York, and more.
The news of the farewell tour has shocked and confused fans as the band previously announced a new record and recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. Porno for Pyros previously reunited for the first time in 26 years with one-night show at Los Angeles’ Belasco Theater for Perry and Etty Lau Farrell’s 2022 Heaven After Dark. The band recently postponed what was meant to be their first tour in over two decades set for fall and instead released a new single titled “Agua.” Following the release of the new material, Martyn LeNoble announced he will not accompany the band on the upcoming tour giving his farewells with a love letter to both the band and fans stating he will now pursue his passion for wildlife.
Porno for Pyros was formed by Perry Farrell after the 1992 break up of Jane’s Addiction. The alternative rock band was composed of Farrell, Stephen Perkins, Peter Distefano, and LeNoble until he was later replaced by Mike Watt. The band released two full-length albums before taking a 25 year hiatus. Porno for Pyros occasionally has made a few reunion appearances at major festivals including 1994’s Woodstock and Farrell’s own Lollapalooza.
