According to pitchfork.com, artist Grimes has released a song she has been previewing live for at least a year. The new song is called “Welcome to the Opera,” which is a collaboration with the electronic music producer Anyma.

On “Welcome to the Opera,” Grimes uses her angelic vocal style against Anyma’s signature world-building soundscape. The song is mystifying due to how Anyma ‘s skills bends with the stunning visuals that strengthen the experience of this single.

Also the tune finds Grimes using her vocals through the AI software Elf.Tech. The software invites others to record or upload vocals for regurgitation in Grimes’ own voice, which resulted in AI-assisted collaborations like Kito’s “Cold Touch.”

Earlier this year it was revealed reported that Grimes is no longer with Columbia Records. The singer joined the label in 2021 and shared two singles “Player of Games” and “Shinigami Eyes” through Columbia Records.

Also Grimes has plans to release the new singles “Music for Machines” and “I Wanna Be Software” very soon. The artist’s most recent album is 2020’s Miss Anthropocene.
