Foo Fighters are now set to replace Pantera at both the Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park this June. The band announced the news on their Instagram. “Germany – we’ll see you Friday, June 2nd at Rock Am Ring and Sunday, June 4th at Rock Im Park! Tickets on sale now!” The news follows after the festival organizers for both events canceled Pantera’s appearances after “intensive conversations” over the band’s leading man Phil Anselmo made a Nazi-style salute when he performed at the January 2016 “Dimebash” event at the Lucky Strike Live in Los Angeles, CA.
Along with these additional headlining shows, Foo Fighters will be playing a few this year. The band is set to kick of their festival run at Boston Calling memorial day weekend alongside The Lumineers, Paramore and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The band is also set to play Sonic Temple, Bonaroo and The Harley Davidson Hometown Music Festival on July 15. Passes to all of the music festivals are on sale now.
Pantera will be playing some other music festivals including the newly announced Rock Fest with Godsmack and Slipknot as well as the Blue Ridge Rock Festival. They will also be joining Metallica on their upcoming stadium tour.
