Caliban Unveils Intense New Song & Video “The Shadow”

German metalcore band Caliban, consisting of Denis Schmidt and Marc Görtz on guitar, Patrick Grün on drums and Andreas Dörner on vocals, have released a new standalone song and video, “The Shadow,” just in time for their 2022 German tour with GHØSTKID, Resolve and League Of Distortion. “‘The Shadow’ is about breaking out of a situation you got into by being blinded and deceived. A bloody made-up fairy tale with a happy ending,” states Caliban.

The music video, directed by Tom Brückner, begins with an icy aesthetic, before turning dark, much like the song. Throughout the video, the band is shown performing the song in what looks like an abandoned building.

Caliban released their latest album, Dystopia, earlier this year via Century Media Records. Dystopia was produced by Benjamin Richter and Görtz, and co-produced by Callan Orr.

Caliban tour dates are as follows:

Dec. 1  – (DE) Nürnberg – Hirsch
Dec. 2 – (DE) München – Backstage Werk
Dec. 3 – (DE) Köln – Live Music Hall
Dec. 9 – (DE) Berlin – Hole 44
Dec. 10 – (DE) Bremen – Modernes
Dec. 11 – (DE) Leipzig – Felsenkeller
