Iggy Pop Debuts Intense New Single “Frenzy”

On Friday, October 28, Iggy Pop released his latest single “Frenzy,” via the recently announced partnership between Atlantic Records and Gold Tooth Records. The new label was founded by GRAMMY Award-winning, multi-platinum producer and guitarist, Andrew Watt, who produced Iggy Pop’s latest release.

“Frenzy” is pure rock, much like the music that earned Iggy Pop the name the Godfather of Punk. This latest release is a sharp contrast from Pop’s most recent album, Free, released in 2019, which takes on vulnerability and morality with a more somber sound. “Frenzy” is backed by a band, consisting of producer Watt, on guitar and background vocals, Duff McKagan on bass and Chad Smith on drums.
