Legendary Celtic punk band Flogging Molly are back with a relatable, fun single “These Times Have Got Me Drinking.” This river dancing track will rile up the Celtic pride in anyone (even if they have no Celtic blood)! “It’s a perfect song for right now,” said singer/guitar player Dave King. “I think it summarizes everything our band is about – which is celebration with our loved ones in trying times. It’s about joy amidst, and in spite of, stuff trying to grind us down.”

The seven person band, known for mixing traditional Irish folk with punk grunge, “try to forget until it’s over” with “These Times Have Got Me Drinking,” cheering to good times and wishing peace on troubled souls as they drink their cares away.

The track begins with a traditional, acoustic folk tune before shrieking electric chords and fast drums kick into overdrive. The vocals go from a muffled, slow tone to an all-out amplified declaration as the electric guitar does much of the work, thanks to the four amazing band guitarists. Really, the song makes you think of one big Irish medieval party!

The Celtic stars will be going on tour in Spring 2022, and according to mxdwn, have announced a celebratory St. Patrick’s Day LA festival St. Patty’s participants probably do not want to miss.
