Bring Me The Horizon fans can look forward to the group’s next installment in the Post Human series — the band’s first major pieces since their 2013 Sempiternal. According to Loudwire, the future EP is “more influenced by emo and screamo.”
“These records are about the music that we grew up listening to in the order that we discovered it,” keyboardist Jordan Fish said. “We all started listening to Linkin Park, Deftones and Slipknot. Then we moved into that more emo/post-hardcore sound of bands like Glassjaw.”
The band first stated they were working on the album in January when frontman Oli Sykes posted an Instagram photo with the caption “Time for record 2 (&3, &4…).” In NME, Sykes revealed that the band was working on these three albums simultaneously.
In September, the band shared a video for “DiE4u,” which “connects to a deeper theme about us as a society, and how we need to look at the way we treat ourselves, each other as well as the world.” Around the same time, the band teamed up with Tom Morello on “Let’s Get The Party Started,” during which the Rage Against The Machine musician praised BMTH as one of the biggest names of today’s rock.
