When Roadburn 2022 announced their initial lineup about a month ago, Ulver, Full of Hell, Russian Circles, Nothing, Liturgy and more were featured. They’ve now announced another round of groups to perform at the festival, including Emma Ruth Rundle — who recently shared a video for “The Company” — HEALTH, The Bug, Cloud Rat, 40 Watt Sun and more.

The festival is set to take place from April 21-24 in its usual location in Tilburg, The Netherlands. Since several countries in Europe are seeing a rise in COVID cases, however, the festival is remaining cautious yet hopeful about the possibility of a full-size festival in several months.
“Whilst we know that things are once again very uncertain regarding live music in Europe at the moment, we also recognise that Roadburn is still almost five months away,” the festival organizers said in an Instagram post. “We continue with hope and optimism, and will keep one eye on the ever-changing situation, and update you as necessary.”
Earlier this year, Roadburn held an online festival featuring Neptunian Maximalism, Dead Neanderthals, Hexvessel, Jo Quail, Kairon; IRSE!, Autarkh, Dust Mountain, Emptiness, GOLD, Iterum Nata, Of Blood and Mercury and more. Both pre-recorded and live performances were broadcasted, creating an experience that is incomparable to an in-person show, but still better than canceling the festival entirely — which is what happened in 2020. Hopefully, the Dutch festival can continue as planned this upcoming April.
