Wolves in the Throne Room have announced their highly anticipated new album Primordial Arcana will be released on August 20 via Relapse Records. The new album is the band’s first release on Relapse Records and will feature eight tracks, including their newly released single “Mountain Magick” along with its music video.

“Mountain Magick was shot in the northern reaches of the Olympic Mountains and the ancient forests that shroud the foothills,” the band stated in a press release.  “We wrote the story, created the costumes, shot the footage and did the editing ourselves, so it is a true product of our hearts and souls.  Creating our own videos has been a long standing dream and now It’s very exciting to bring these Visions into the Cinematic Realm.”  Check it out below.

The new album was teased in 2019 via an Instagram post. With scenic picture of the sun rising during wintertime, the band captioned the picture with “Winter Sun rising over frozen water near our studio. Here is the inspiration for what we do! The 7th Wolves in the Throne Room record is being formed..”  It will serve as the follow-up to 2017’s  Thrice Wovenwhich was critically praised and earned the band the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods Award for Best Underground Band. The album spawned singles and videos such as “Born From The Serpent’s Eye,” “Angrboda,” and “Mother Owl, Father Ocean.”
