Pop star Billie Eilish recently held an interview with Vanity Fair, where they time capsuled her responses to the same questions over the past four years. Some of the recent topics included her massive Grammy wins earlier this year to the creation of new music, which led her to discuss how she’s written 16 songs alongside her brother and producer Finneas.
When asked about how many songs she has written, Eilish replied, “Right now I have 16. We’ve been working and I love them all.” She also discussed how it was difficult for her to get inspiration the first month during the lockdown, but after that month she was able to get motivated to write more songs.
The performer also dicussed her growth as a songwriter during the interview, which she says she has grown more accustomed to. “I think Finneas and I have just like seriously just like really gotten in the groove. We do it so fast like there was like a period of time like a month ago or something I was just like we were just texting the label like song done, another song done, another song done,” Eilish explained.
Even though Eilish is still coming off a massively successful year, which saw her become the youngest artist to sweep the “Big Four” award categories, the performer has no intention of slowing down. Eilish is already up for some 2021 Grammys nods thanks to the success of her track “everything i wanted.” This isn’t the only single she’s dropped either, earlier this month she released a music video for “Therefore I Am,” which was followed by a live debut at the American Music Awards.
