GRAMMY Awards Announces 2021 Nominees Including HAIM, Dua Lipa, Fiona Apple, In This Moment, Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Eilish, Power Trip, Freddie Gibbs and More

The 2021 Grammy nominations are here, with a number of artists selected for the prestigious awards, including HAIM, Dua Lipa, Fiona Apple, In This Moment, Phoebe Bridgers, Billie Eilish, Power Trip and Freddie Gibbs. Beyonce once again leads the number of nominations with nine, followed by Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Rich who have six nods each.

Swift’s Folklore, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia, Haim’s Women In Music Pt.III and Jhene Aiko’s Chilombo have all received nominations for album of the year. Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” additionally received nom for Record of The Year alongside Billie Eilish’s “everything i wanted,” Doja Cat’s “Say So,” Beyonce’s “Black Parade” and Post Malones “Circles.”

“Black Parade,” “everything i wanted” and “Circles” joined the likes of H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe,” Taylor Swift’s “Cardigan” and Roddy Rich’s “The Box” for Song of The Year. This year’s Best New Artist Noms included Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Chika, Noah Cyrus, D Smoke, Doja Cat, Kaytranada and Megan Thee Stallion.

Future Nostalgia and Folklore additionally won nominations for Best Pop Vocal album, while “everything i wanted,” “Cardigan” and “Don’t Stop Now” additionally received nods for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Best Alternative Music Albums nods went to Beck’s Hyperspace, Fiona Apple’s Fetch The Bolt Cutters, Phoebe Bridgers’ Punisher, Brittany Howard’s Jaime and Tame Impala’s The Slow Rush. Best Rock Album nods went to the likes of Sound & Fury by Sturgill Simpson and The New Abnormal by The Strokes.

Best Metal Performance nominations were given to “Bum-Rush” by Body Count, “Underneath” by Code Orange, “The In-Between” by In This Moment, “Bloodmoney”  by Poppy and “Executioner’s Tax (Swing Of The Axe)” – LIVE by Power Trip.

Lady Like by Ingrid Andress, Your Life Is A Record by Brandy Clark, Wildcard by Miranda Lambert, Nightfall by Little Big Town and Never Will by Ashley McBryde were all nominated for Best Country Album. Meanwhile Black Habits by D Smoke, Alfredo by Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist, A Written Testimony by Jay Electronica, King’s Disease by Nas and The Allegory by Royce Da 5’9” received Best Rap Album nominations.
