Margo Price originally had May release date for That’s How Rumors Get Started, prior to its delay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The album release is now back on track, with a date set for July 10, while Price also released a new music video for “Letting Me Down” directed by Kimberly Stuckwisch.

“Letting Me Down” is shown in a panoramic style, showing Price in a living room as she dances and lounges around in her home. The song is an upbeat country tune, with catchy guitar lines, piano melodies and jangly rhythms, which are led by Price’s emotional vocal performance.

The dance sequence was choreographed by Price’s sister Kylie, while Stuckwisch drove from Los Angeles to Nashville in an RV to help record the video. Stuckwisch explained that the group enacted social distancing measures during this recording.

“We wore masks the entire time and Margo supplied us with multiple bottles of hand sanitizer and spiked seltzers. We parked our RV in her driveway and worked solely out of there and the room we were filming in,” Stuckwisch explained. “We wanted to speak to what was going on at that moment, to a world that was/is shut down, to the fear we all feel, and to the hope of breaking free.”

The first single for the project ‘Twinkle Twinkle” came out back in March. Price has debuted covers of John Prine’s “All The Best” (alongside her husband Jeremy Ivey) and John Lennon’s “Nobody Told Me” during the quarantine. She will be performing at an upcoming live streamed tribute for Prine later tomorrow.
