The Strokes @ The Wiltern 5/13

Legendary American rock band The Strokes will be playing in a charity show next month. Partnered with The Center and FoodCycle LA, the band will perform at the Wiltern on Monday, May 13th. Ticket prices for the show are still unknown, however, they will go on sale this Friday at 10:00 AM. A sign up system has also been implemented to counter bots and scalpers. All proceeds from this show will go towards assisting the homeless in LA. Doors for the event will open at 7:00 PM.

As mentioned, The Strokes have teamed up with two amazing organizations to provide fans with a great show and to help the less fortunate. The Center is a non profit thats mission is to help those that experience homelessness in the Hollywood area. The organization provides health and housing related assistance to those in the streets. FoodCycle LA is committed to dealing with the unfortunate fact that nearly half of the food in the U.S. goes to waste. The organization works hard to provide the hungry with food while also decreasing the wrongful disposal of food.

This is absolutely a heart warming and exciting event that you do not want to miss. Register today to acquire your tickets this Friday!

Julian Pino: I'm a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business. I graduated from California State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, but I now reside in Los Angeles. I'm very passionate about music and have been trying to involve myself with the culture surrounding it for as long as I can remember. I was recently fortunate enough to work with the thriving new multi-channel network, Create Music Group where I learned many new things about the music industry. Here, I acquired several skills regarding music monetization and even became certified in YouTube Content Ownership. When I'm not working on the clock I usually spend my time finding new music. As a DJ/producer, I take pride in discovering new artists and different types of genres. I recently started a project where I intend to support and share new artists on social media so that they're getting the recognition that they deserve. I also make an effort to attend local shows whether the performers are superstar artists or aspiring artists. Ultimately, I aim to positively impact the community of artists and listeners that are as impassioned about music as I am.
