Baltimore indie rock band Lower Dens will be performing at The Echo on August 21 as part of the FYF Sideshows. The band is touring in support of its third studio album Escape from Evil released in March this year. The band was formed in 2010 by Jana Hunter, Geoff Graham, Abram Sanders and Will Adams and has been active since 2010. Listen to their song “To Die in LA” here.
Opening up for Lower Dens at the Echo is Empress Of, the solo project of New York based, Spanish-American singer-songwriter, Lorely Rodriguez. She gained attention in 2012 for releasing a series of 1 minute-long demos entitled “Colorminutes.” Her solo album Me is set to be released on September 11. The FYF Fest will be taking place on Saturday August 22nd and Sunday August 23rd. The Sideshows will surround the main event with shows at The Roxy, The Fonda, The Echo and more local LA venues. Other bands playing at the FYF sideshows include Dinosaur Jr. and Bloc Party. Be sure to catch both Empress Of and Lower Dens at The Echo in August.
