After kicking off 2026 by collaborating with Calvin Harris on the dance floor banger “Release The Pressure” Kasabian has unleashed their explosive new track, “Great Pretender” which i is the second track to be taken from their forthcoming album, Act III, that comes out on July 17. Following on from the “Hippie Sunshine,” the album’s wavy first taste, “Great Pretender” is an infectiously euphoric anthem made for festival stages.
Act III was recorded at The Sergery and Club Ralph and produced by Serge and Mark Ralph. Draped in Serge’s instantly recognizable hazy vocals, the album is 10 tracks of guitar-driven, psyche-infused pop and three interludes. Packed to the brim with hooks and a strong dose of swagger, the album cements Kasabian as one of the UK’s most essential bands of the 21st century.

“‘Great Pretender’ is about imposter syndrome not as a weakness, but as a sign you’re on the edge of something real,” Serge says of the single. “It’s that feeling right before you step on stage, when the lights go down and it’s now or never.”
