Justin Timberlake has been arrested under the suspicion that he was allegedly driving while intoxicated. His lawyer has confirmed that the singer has since been released from police custody without bail.
According to Billboard, Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York, on Monday, June 17th, after allegedly having dinner in the area. The singer was allegedly pulled over by the police when he was allegedly driving to a friend’s house after dinner. Timberlake was cited for allegedly not staying in his lane and for allegedly running a stop sign.
Neither Timberlake or the Sag Harbor Police Department have commented on the matter yet, but the police are expected to release a statement regarding Timberlake’s arrest soon. (via Billboard)
Timberlake seems to be having an exciting year apart from this incident, however. Back in March, the singer released his new album, Everything I Thought I Was, which has shown a much more vulnerable and authentic side to the singer.
Even more exciting than the new album being released was Timberlake’s L.A. performance shortly afterwards. What made this performance stand out? Well, it was the first live show in a decade with NSYNC! Timberlake reunited with his former bandmates to perform some of their biggest hits from their days in the iconic boy band, including “Bye Bye Bye,” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.” The performance went viral, with fans sharing their excitement all across social media.
