The Dropkick Murphys have announced a set of six shows across Boston, Massachusetts, which will take place across 5 days from March 13 to March 17, on St. Patrick’s day. This St. Patrick’s day tour is an annual tradition for the band, who organize the shows in their hometown each year.
“I’m very excited for next year’s St. Patrick’s shows. It’s all about Boston this year – we aren’t doing any other shows in March. Three different venues over five days – two of which we’ve never played before,” Ken Casey, Dropkick Murphys’ vocalist stated in a press release. “And we are very, very excited to play our first show in the round – at the new Encore Boston Harbor. Being surrounded by the audience on all sides is going to be so fun!”
The band will be performing at the Boston Harbor Picasso Ballroom, Big Night Live and the House of Blues, where they have four shows scheduled. Their stops on March 14 will feature two Dropkick Murphys shows: a matinee performance and an evening acoustic set followed by a full professional boxing card presented by Murphys Boxing.
The band recently hosted a set of fall 2019 shows earlier this year alongside acts such as Clutch and Hatebreed. They also currently recently performed at the Sea.Hear.Now Music Festival alongside acts such as The Lumineers and Sharon Van Etten.
