Platinum singer-songwriter Donna Lewis, the voice behind the iconic 1996 hit “I Love You Always Forever,” has returned with a re-recording of the album that started it all, Now In A Minute. The release of the revamped version of “Without Love” marks the kick-off of 30th anniversary celebrations for the beloved record which is set to arrive as In A Minute Now in all of its revisited glory in February of 2027.
New York-based but Welsh-born, Lewis made headlines when she joined Japanese Breakfast onstage at Brooklyn Paramount for a special performance of “I Love You Always Forever” in 2025. The band originally covered the song solo during their Coachella set. A plethora of other artists have also reimagined the track including The xx’s Romy, Fred Again… and Digital Farm Animals, cementing Lewis’ spot in the pop culture canon. “I Love You Always Forever” made music history as the first song to make it to one million spins on U.S. radio.
Speaking on the album’s 30th anniversary and what it means to be able to revisit the songs now, Lewis offered, “Thirty years later, it’s exciting to revisit this album and share another piece of its story. I Love You Always Forever became the centerpiece and received so much of the attention, but there was always so much more to the album. The single Without Love now has its moment in the spotlight, and I think that’s something really special.”
Lewis’ most recent albums consist of Rooms With A View in 2024 and Wanderlust, the latter of which was released earlier this year in collaboration with longtime songwriting partner David Lowe.
