Krayzie Bone Explains Why Layzie Bone Wasn’t on Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Recent Tour

The iconic hip-hop group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has had an eventful year, from receiving a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame back in July to currently touring with Wu-Tang Clan for Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber as their opening act. Still, some missing faces from the five-member group during their performances have been causing a stir amongst fans online. Layzie Bone and Bizzy Bone have yet to take the stage with the rest.

Both members have recently taken to social media to explain their absences. In a YouTube video, Bizzy Bone explained that by the time he heard about opening for Wu-Tang Clan, everything had already been “signed, sealed and delivered,” as reported by Stereogum. He said he thought it’d be best for his fellow members to take the opportunity without him being added on. He went on to clarify that there was no bad blood, saying, “I’m still rooting them on. Long live Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.”

Layzie Bone took to Instagram over the weekend to share why he wasn’t in attendance, claiming he’d been “left in the dark.” He said he’d had issues with the group earlier this year, but he believed things had been restored after the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he’d be attending the tour alongside everyone else.

“But it was another reason after another reason, which I’m going to let them answer,” he said. “Let them tell me why they put me off the road because I didn’t put myself off the road. I assembled this group. I helped build this group for 35-plus years.”

Today, Krayzie Bone posted several videos to Instagram responding to Layzie’s claims. He said he doesn’t usually make response videos because he feels like the situation is a personal matter, but decided to respond since it had already been made public. He went on to deny Layzie’s allegation that he’d been left in the dark, explaining that they all agreed that if Layzie went to rehab, the rest of the group would ensure he got paid and supported.

“We had an agreement with you. We told you if you go to rehab, while you’re still in rehab, we will still pay you while you’re getting yourself together,” Krayzie said. “We told you that. You refused. So no, we didn’t just leave you out in the cold bro. We told you what it was. And we told you that we still had your money waiting for you.”

He said that instead of going on the internet, Layzie should join them on tour. Krayzie ended his final video with, “If dudes really wanted to be here on this tour, knowing how big it is, you would be here. Nothing or nobody is stopping you.”

As of the publication date, no other members have repsonded and no further details have been offered about the tour absences. Wu-Tang Clan’s Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber North American tour with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will run until October 4th.
