The nu metal band KoRn has finished recording their newest project. Their last full-length album, Requiem, came out in 2022, and their newest song, “Reward the Scars,” dropped in April of this year for the video game Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred.

​Drummer Ray Luzier’s drum tech, Mark Bennett, seemed to confirm the news during a recent appearance on the YouTube channel Drumeo, as NME reported. “This is what we just finished recording the new record with,” Bennett said in the video, holding a Pearl Copper Free Floating snare drum. “They discontinued this drum. You can’t get it anymore. Thankfully, we have five of them.”

​While no further details were given about the project, guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer told Rolling Stone Brasil back in May that the band has written around 40 songs over the last few years. ​“It’s been quite a long process, because we’re very critical about what we do now,” Shaffer said. “We’re very particular, in… because we wanna keep our original sound. You can’t really get away from that – when we start playing, it sounds like KoRn, especially with all five of us.”

​As fans wait for more news on the upcoming album, KoRn is set to hit the road for a UK and Europe headline tour. It will mark their first time playing in the UK in over a decade and will start on October 18th in Stuttgart, Germany, and close out in Milan, Italy, on November 21st.
