Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s Family Calls For Death Penalty Against D4vd In New Statement

According to abc7.com, the family of Celeste Rivas Hernandez has publicly calling for her accused killer, who is the singer D4vd, to face the death penalty. On Sunday, which is the eve of what would have been Hernandez‘s 16th birthday, the family released new photo of her, along with a statement saying the death penalty for D4vd “would be perfect for this kind of human being, devoid of feelings and emptiness inside, and without conscience. But that’s not in our hands, but rather in God’s and the California justice system,”

Hernandez was just 14 years old when prosecutors say her then-boyfriend David Anthony Burke, the singer’s full name, allegedly murdered her and allegedly left her dismembered body in his car back in 2025. Burke is currently behind bars and has been ordered to stand trial on murder charge in the girl’s death. The singer is due back in court next month and just last week,  defense attorneys dropped Burke by leaving him to be represented by an L.A. County public defender.
