Today, Cro-Mags, the iconic New York hardcore outfit fronted by Harley Flanagan, has proudly announced their new album, The Age of Quarrel: 40 Years of Quarrel, which is tribute to their 1986 seminal debut. The intensity, influence and groove of that record continue to resonate today, which is fueled by the band’s enduring legacy and hard-earned reputation as one of heavy music’s most volatile and influential acts. Now led by founding bassist and vocalist Harley Flanagan, who assumed frontman duties beginning with 1989’s Best Wishes,’ the band bring The Age of Quarrel full circle with a celebration of the album that started it all.
As for the music video for “World Peace,” everything is well done by how each each scene goes between showing several war clips and the band performing the tune. The whole thing is well done because the clips offer viewers a a deeper look inside the world of war and how peace is the best thing we need right now. Also, the fast paced compliments the dark themes the music video is show and surely, viewers will be head banging to the killer punk music.
