The Los Angeles based band, The Wrecks are slated to play a unique, hometown-adjacent show this summer at The Glass House Concert Hall in Pomona, CA, to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their debut EP, “We Are The Wrecks”, which was released on April 29, 2016. This show will be about a week after the band plays at Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, the second of the 4 warped tour weekends they are attending.
Formed in Thousand Oaks, California in 2015, the alternative indie rock band, The Wrecks includes Nick Anderson (vocals, guitar, keyboard, production), Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt (lead guitar), Aaron Kelley (bass), and Billy Nally (drums). Their collective drive and passion was enough to make their first batch of music out of a “borrowed studio”, which was good enough to go on nationwide tours within months of release. This anniversary show will feature special guests, Fox Royale who are an indie rock duo of brothers born and raised in Joplin, Missouri. The band gained traction after touring with notable acts like the Plain White T’s, Royal Otis, almost monday, and Young The Giant, among many others.
The Wrecks have sold tens of thousands of tickets, have had their music streamed at least 349 Million times, and have played over 600 live shows, with their DIY, down to earth approach being a core feature of their sound, community, and experience. For this anniversary show, they will be playing the “We Are The Wrecks” EP in its entirety, which includes the top 40 alternative single, “Favorite Liar”, which has amassed over 64 million streams.
