Breakout Chicago rap sensation Star Bandz has teamed up with hometown icon Chance the Rapper for a powerful new single and video, “Touch The Ground,” out now via Priority Records/Capitol Records. Sonically, “Touch The Ground” blends Star Bandz’s razor-sharp, delivery with Chance’s unmistakable Chicago soul. The beat is hard-hitting and melodic, grounding Star Bandz’s fierce presence while leaving space for Chance’s warm, rhythmic flow. Star Bandz commands the track with confidence far beyond her years, while Chance complements her energy rather than overshadowing it, creating a natural back-and-forth. 

Directed by Christian Loggins, the accompanying video visually amplifies the holiday theme of the song. The camera follows the two artists through wintery scenes of ice skating, dressed in ski clothes and outside in the snow. Star Bandz stands front and center while Chance appears as collaborator, reinforcing the track’s symbolic passing of the torch.
