American rock band Green Day has officially unveiled the music video for their track “One Eyed Bastard,” a song from their 2024 album Saviors, which includes:
“7 new tracks in total, including 2 acoustic versions of “Suzie Chapstick” and “Father to a Son,” and 5 new tracks such as “Smash It Like Belushi,” “Fuck Off,” “Stay Young,” “Ballyhoo,” and “Underdog,” stated from Constant Contact.
Released earlier today, the video was directed by Ryan Baxley and Brendan Walter, known to have previously collaborated with the band on past projects.
The video opens up to the band in a room playing the opening instrumental to the track before the scene moves onto a masked figure driving an old car. The scene then pans to another masked figure in the car before going back to the band. The car then pulls up to a dirt field where a mysterious figure stands. The camera then pans to the two figures from the car opening the trunk before panning to the person tied up.
The person is then picked up and carried to a hole before the masked figures begin to shovel dirt on the man. Towards the end of the video, the three mysterious figures take off their masks, unveiling themselves as children before the girl in the center puts her mask on the man in the hole before proceeding to drive away.
Following their 2024 tour, Green Day has headlined several major 2025 festivals, such as Coachella, being the most recent one. With upcoming performances at BottleRock, Riot Fest, and Ohana festivals. Fans can watch “One Eyed Bastard” on Green Day’s official YouTube channel. While the video might not suit everyone, it is worth a watch.
