Brujeria announce the Mexorcista Tour with Tribal Gaze and Cancer Christ. The tour includes a stop The Paramount in Los Angeles, California.
The Narco-metal legends of Brujeria are hitting the road in support of their latest full length album, Esto Es Brujeria. The tour kicks off on August 29 in Long Beach, CA and concludes on September 27 in Los Angeles, CA. The 25-date run includes stops in cities such as El Paso, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Brooklyn, and more. Special guests Tribal Gaze and Cancer Christ will accompany the band during selected dates. Brujeria will also be supporting GWAR during this tour from September 12 through September 21.
Esto Es Brujeria was released on September 15, 2023 via Nuclear Blast Records, marking the band’s fifth studio album. The project was recorded between different cities including Southern California, Birmingham, UK and Santiago, Chile. The self-produced record was anchored by menacing tracks including the NSFW, “El Patrón Del Reventón”.
Brujeria emerged in 1989 in Los Angeles. They forcefully introduced phrases like Matando Güeros, La Migra, Marijuana y Brujerizmo into the lexicon of extreme subcultures from hardcore punk to death metal. The brutal death grind band from Mexico came to represent the notoriously violent world of illegal drug trafficking, vicious retaliation, and a sinister syncretism between Afro-Caribbean sorcery like Palo Mayombe and Santeria with outright demonic possession. The band often brandishes rifles and machetes while wearing balaclavas and serapes.
See Brujeria perform live alongside Cancer Christ at the Paramount on Friday, September 27. Tickets are available at dice.fm.
