Los Lonely Boys made their triumphant return to creating music last summer after a ten year long hiatus. Now, they have shared their newest single, “See Your Face,” from their upcoming album, Resurrection.
Jojo Garza shared the meaning behind the new track in a recent press release. He states, “It’s about missing someone who was in your life who has transitioned from this earth or just onto a different path, you want to see this person’s face again.” While having such a deep, serious meaning, “See Your Face” reminds us exactly who Los Lonely Boys are as a band with a familiar palm-muted guitar rhythm and various accents with maracas and congas. However, this new single also showcases the band’s growth during their time off.
Resurrection appears to be a fitting name for the band’s first album in over a decade. The announcement of the album, along with the release of “See Your Face,” reaffirms their return to music, and reminds fans of the band’s power and talent.
Los Lonely Boys have also shared that some of the singles that they’ve released over the past year will be a part of the new album, including “Dance With Me,” which was released back in September, and “Send More Love,” the first track that they released after their hiatus.
With the release of “See Your Face,” fans are even more eager to hear what Los Lonely Boys have been working on when the album is released on August 2nd.
