Jello Biafra Joins The Dillinger Escape Plan For Cover Of “California Uber Alles” During No Values Set

Last year, The Dillinger Escape Plan announced their reunion with original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis. During the inaugural edition of No Values Festival this weekend, the band’s original lineup took to the stage with a special guest, Jello Biafra. The reunited group invited Biafra to join them for a cover of “California Uber Alles.”

The reunion is meant to mark the celebration of the band’s beloved debut album Calculating Infinity which was released back in 1999, making this the record’s 25 year anniversary. Founding guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson and drummer Billy Rymer are all set to join Minakakis on a handful of shows, including three nights back-to-back at Brooklyn Paramount from June 21 to June 23. The band will also be playing at The Salt Shed in Chicago, Illinois on August 24.

Back in October, Weinman had disputed previous singer Greg Puciato’s claims about offers the band had purportedly received to reunite with him, explaining that Puciato “has no ownership of the Dillinger Escape Plan as an entity, no ownership in the overarching corporation, and has no ownership over the name.”
