Green Day just announced another surprise show in SoCal! The Grammy Award winning band is set to perform a show at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 18.

The announcement follows a major milestone as Green Day’s debut album, Dookie, was just added into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry as what was described one of “the defining sounds of history.” To celebrate, the band continues the Hella Tiny Tour in California, following an intimate show at the House of Blues in Anaheim in March and at San Francisco’s The Fillmore earlier this month. The Hella Tiny Tour first kicked off in January with three shows in NYC to launch their latest album, Saviors. To continue to series of affordable surprise shows, Green Day is set to hit The Echoplex (not to be confused with The Echo) in LA, . The venue holds a 780-capacity and is perfect for a kick ass Green Day show.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool are set to perform Saviors and two of their major studio albums, Dookie and American Idiot, during their upcoming stadium tour. The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas are set to join as supporting acts during the tour. The Saviors Tour kicks off on July 29 in Washington DC and concludes on September 28 in San Diego.
